A grand prix format taking place throughout the entire year.

Consisting of a series of individual competitions.  Each of which will have individual prizes and bragging rights.  A running point total will be kept for individual athletes and the team/gym he or she is affiliated with. The previous competition’s final standings will determine the seeding for the following competition.

The final competition of the year will crown both the Winter Shootout individual winners, as well as a the individual and team/gym 2018 season champions determined by the year’s total points.

Athletes can choose to compete in a single event, or try their hand at taking home the Grand Prize by competing in all four events.  All points earned will be applied to the team/gym total.

WORKOUT #1

All Out Oly
5:00 for you and partner to complete as many reps as possible of the complex.
  • Squat Clean (RX: 135/95, SC-MS: 95/65 catch anywhere)
  • Squat Clean & Jerk
  • Squat Snatch
One partner must complete the entire complex in order for the rep to count.
If the buzzer sounds mid complex the team will be given 1/3 a point for each movement of the complex that was completed.

WORKOUT #2

4×100 (15 Min Cap)
Partners can complete the 400 movements in any order they choose. Does NOT have to be equal work.  Time on Workout #2 will be the tiebreaker for the competition.
  • 100 Deadlifts (RX: 135/95 SC-MS: 95/65)
  • 100 Wallballs (RX: 20-10’/14-9′ SC-MS: 14-10’/10-9′)
  • 100:1-Arm Alt. DB Snatch (RX: 50/35 MS/SC: 35-20)
  • 100: Toes-2-Bar (RX: T2B, MS-SC: Heels above plain of hips)

WORKOUT #3

Colt 45 & 2 Zig-Zags (12 Min Cap)
Each partner will complete 1 of the 21-15-9 by themselves, the score is the overall time each team takes to complete both.
  • 21-15-9
  • Calorie Row
  • Double Unders (SC/MS: Singles)
and
  • 21-15-9
  • Thrusters (RX: 95/65 SC/MS: 75/55)
  • Pullups (RX: Pullups Sc/MS: Jumping Pullups)
One partner will compete all 45 of the row and rope workout. Their partner will then complete all 45 reps of the Thrusters and Pullups. Total time to complete both is their score.
